Selandia is a technical, business and management college.

Selandia is now one of the largest colleges in Denmark with more than 460 highly qualified lecturers and instructors, all university or college graduates with extensive pedagogical training and solid working experience. The College provides training of approx. 10.000 students annually at various levels from Vocational Training to Advanced Technical (Diploma) Education. The College history dates back to 1866, thus being one of the oldest colleges in Denmark. Today, the College's annual turnover amounts to approx. 270 million DKK.

Selandia is a private foundation approved by the Danish Ministry of Education. The College Board includes representatives of the municipality, local trade organisations and trade unions, ensuring that training meets Society's actual and current requirements. All departments possess up-to-date facilities and learning materials, and Selandia is engulfed in a constant process of revising syllabi and developing new curricula on behalf of the Ministry of Education.

NATIONAL EDUCATION ACTIVITIES

For students resident in Denmark, Selandia offers four levels of education:

• Vocational Education combines practical and theoretical College training with apprenticeship with employers in the industry concerned. The total duration is of 3-4 years.
• The Vocational Upper Secondary Education comprises practical and theoretical courses of 3 years' duration. (HHX and HTX)
• The Advanced Technical/Commercial (Diploma) Education (AP programmes) is a superstructure to the Upper-Secondary or Vocational Training of 2 years duration.
• In-Service Training of Professionals or Technicians are standard or tailor-made courses of various duration as according to the specific needs of the client, be it a public or private enterprise.

INTERNATIONAL COURSES
Selandia-CEU perform planning, organising and implementation of training courses on various technical, management, or pedagogic topics, be it in the recipient country or as fellowship courses in Denmark

INTERNATIONAL STUDENT ACTIVITIES
Selandia College gives high priority to forming an international study environment. The college has a long tradition of cooperating with a number of colleges in Eastern and Western Europe:

INTERNATIONAL PROJECTS
Since 1981, Selandia has conducted numerous international projects on technical assistance and development in more than 35 countries in Eastern Europe, Africa, Asia and Latin America. Collaborators include vocational colleges, consulting companies, manufacturers, research and educational institutions, public authorities and NGOs.
