Selandia College gives high priority to forming an international study environment. The college has a long tradition of cooperating with a number of colleges in Eastern and Western Europe:

  • Project work with foreign students
  • Study tours abroad
  • Students exchanges
  • Short and long term work experience abroad for students
  • Counselling on possibilities of job/higher education abroad
  • International partners

Educational cooperation
During the last 10 years Selandia College has built up a network of colleges in the Baltic area (se the list of partners) with the purpose of cooperating on projects for first-year students.

Exchange of projects is supplemented by mutual exchange stays for small groups of students and by an annual planning conference for the teachers involved.

Study tours
Students in their second year of upper secondary education are offered a study tour to a European destination with the purpose of supporting themes and topics in the school-based education.

Work experience
A limited number of second year vocational students are offered short-term work experience (3 weeks) in cooperation with our British and German partner colleges. This activity is funded by Leonardo.

Through a national network of business colleges our upper secondary graduate business students are offered a one-year work experience programme with large companies in Germany and England.

Counselling
The student counsellors of Selandia possess information and knowledge about possibilities of applying for jobs and higher education abroad.
